RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING
WHAT IS RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING AND HOW DO I APPLY?
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is an assessment process that recognises the skills, knowledge, and experience you have gained through work, previous study, volunteering, professional development, or life experience. If you can demonstrate that you already meet the requirements of a unit or qualification, you may receive credit without needing to complete further training. To apply, simply contact BEST Training and our team will guide you through the RPL process, including the evidence required to support your application.
Who is RPL for?
RPL is ideal for individuals who have gained relevant skills and experience through employment, previous study, volunteering, professional development, or life experience and would like these competencies formally recognised. It is suitable for experienced workers, career changers, returning learners, and anyone seeking a nationally recognised qualification without repeating training for skills they already possess.
What You Will Learn
On successful completion, participants will be able to:
- Identify indicators of abuse, neglect and harm
- Respond appropriately to disclosures from children and young people
- Follow correct internal and external reporting pathways
- Understand legal responsibilities and duty of care
- Support child safety and wellbeing within their service
Online application & Access
Applying for RPL with BEST Training is simple. Complete the online application form and provide details of your work experience, previous training, and qualifications. Once your application has been reviewed, you will receive access to your personalised RPL assessment package through our online learning system, where you can upload evidence and communicate with your assessor throughout the process.
Assessment & Certification
Your evidence will be reviewed by a qualified assessor to determine whether you meet the requirements of the unit or qualification. If competency is demonstrated, you will be awarded the relevant qualification, Statement of Attainment, or credit for the units successfully achieved.
