HLTAID012 Provide First Aid in an education and care setting provides participants with the skills and knowledge required to respond to first aid emergencies involving adults, children and infants.
The course covers CPR, the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED), asthma, anaphylaxis, choking, injuries, medical emergencies and incident reporting. Participants complete the theory online and attend a practical assessment at BEST Training in Bankstown.
This course is suitable for educators, childcare workers and other staff working in education and care settings. Successful participants will receive a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment.

The full first aid course is current for three years. CPR refresher training should be completed every year.
AVETMISS & USI Requirements (Mandatory)
As a Registered Training Organisation, BEST Training (RTO 40651) must collect AVETMISS-compliant data and a valid USI. Personal details and USI are required to issue a Statement of Attainment. Certificates cannot be issued without this information.
