ABOUT The university pathway option
Many Universities have alternate entry pathways. Depending on your choice of University and Degree you wish to enroll into you can Enroll into our Certificate Programs or our Diploma Courses as an alternate pathway into university. Study a course through BEST Training. A Certificate III is roughly equivalent to year 12, and certificate IV or diploma courses can be used for university entrance. In NSW students can access smart & skilled funding through BEST TRAINING from age 15 without needing a year 10 certificate which is subsidised training opportunities which are available to all NSW residents and citizens.
At BEST Training we offer our Business Management University Pathways Program which is a combination of the Certificate IV in Business BSB40120 and the Diploma of Business BSB50120. This course is held in the afternoons, every Tuesday afternoon from 3pm to 6pm and Friday afternoons from 3pm to 6pm. Students can join our face-to-face classes or undertake the training through a distance learning option.
ALTERNATIVE STUDY PATHWAY
The FSK Foundation Skills Program offers a flexible and supportive alternative study pathway for students who have not completed Year 10 or are disengaged from mainstream schooling. Combining FSK10129 Certificate I in Skills for Vocational Pathways and FSK20119 Certificate II in Skills for Work and Vocational Pathways, this dual qualification supports NSW RoSA equivalency and provides a strong foundation for further training or employment.
This program focuses on core skills in literacy, numeracy, communication, and digital technology, as well as introducing students to key workplace concepts and self-management strategies. Classes are delivered twice a week, with a total commitment of 21 hours per week, and can also be run onsite at your school or youth centre for groups.
Funding may be available, or a per-qualification price will be outlined in the course brochure. With flexible delivery options and a supportive learning environment, this program empowers young people to re-engage with learning and progress toward qualifications in business, community services, or technology.

Most of our students have gone onto further study or career pathways with the use of the business certificates they acquired at B.E.S.T
The four students below studied for 12 months and received their Certificate II in Workplace Skills, Certificate III in Business, and Certificate IV in Business. They are all now undertaking the career/study pathway of their choice and are extremely happy with the progress they have made since leaving school.
